Daryl Inniss

Dr. Daryl Inniss is an experienced consultant specializing in optical communications and network technologies. Prior to joining LightCounting, he advised Omdia’s telecommunications practice, conducting market research on emerging optical fiber and component technologies for transport and data center networks.

Previously, Dr. Daryl Inniss served as Director of New Business Development at OFS (now Lightera), a leading fiber optics and telecommunications manufacturer. Over a career spanning more than 35 years, he has held key technical and commercial roles across the optical communications industry, including Practice Leader at Ovum and RHK Inc., where he covered advanced telecommunications technologies, and Technical Manager positions at JDSU (now Lumentum) and AT&T Bell Labs.

Dr. Inniss is a co-author of Silicon Photonics: Fueling the Next Information Revolution (Morgan Kaufmann, 2016) and is currently preparing the second edition. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCLA and an A.B. from Princeton University.
